さて、この度、弊社ではセキュリティ運用の強化のためパスワード付き圧縮ファイル（以下、PPAP）のメール送受信を2023年9月29日をもって廃止し、ファイルの共有についてはクラウドストレージを活用することといたします。

PPAPを利用することで、マルウェアの検知が困難となり、感染のリスクが高まることが懸念されています。これまで、お客様やお取引先企業様のシステム環境などのご事情を勘案し、PPAPの送信を行ってまいりましたが、PPAPと同じ通信経路で送信されるパスワードは、メール盗聴による情報漏洩等のリスクを回避することができません。
これらの背景を踏まえ、より安全で利便性の高いファイル交換方法への移行を進めることといたしました。

2. 対象メール
   以下の条件を満たすファイルが添付されたメールの送受信。
   ・パスワード付き圧縮ファイル
   ・暗号化されたファイル
3. ファイルの共有方法
   弊社からお客様・お取引先企業様へ送信するファイルは、弊社が使用しているクラウドストレージを利用し、メールにはファイルへのアクセスURLを記載いたします。
   お客様側にてご指定のクラウドストレージがある場合は、お申し付けください。あるいは、弊社のクラウドストレージでのファイル送信も可能です。
   
   ※現在すでに、BOX等のクラウドストレージやお客様ご指定のファイル交換システムでファイルの授受しているお客様に関しましては、運用変更はございません。

Notice Regarding Discontinuation of Password-Protected Compressed File Email Transmission.

We hope this letter finds you well. We sincerely appreciate your continued support.

We would like to inform you that in order to strengthen our security operations we are discontinuing the transmission and receipt of password-protected compressed files (Also referred to as PPAP) via email as of September 29, 2023. Instead, we will now be utilizing cloud storage for file sharing.

The reason is that it has come to our attention that the use of PPAP can make it difficult to detect malware and increases the risk of infection. While we have considered various factors, including the system environments of our customers and business partners, we have come to realize that the transmission of passwords over the same communication channels as PPAP files cannot completely mitigate the risk of information leakage through email interception.

In light of these considerations, we have decided to transition to a more secure and convenient method of file exchange.

3. File Sharing Method
   For files sent from our company to customers and business partners, we will utilize our current cloud storage, and we will include the URLs to access the files in the email. If you have a preferred cloud storage solution, please let us know. Alternatively, we can also send files using our own cloud storage system.
   * For customers who are already using cloud storage solutions such as BOX or other specified file exchange systems, there will be no change in operations.
